Generative AI: Revolutionizing Creativity and Problem-Solving Across Industries

Session Chair - Dr Mohan SG, Professor and Head, Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology, Bangalore
Session co-chair - Dr Archana Mathur, Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology

Generative AI, a subset of artificial intelligence, is transforming how creativity and problem- solving are approached across a multitude of industries. By leveraging deep learning models such as Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs), variational autoencoders (VAEs), and large-scale transformer models, generative AI has emerged as a ground breaking force capable of creating, designing, and optimizing content, processes, and solutions in unprecedented ways.

Generative AI is reshaping the boundaries of creativity and innovation across industries, empowering individuals and organizations to approach challenges with new perspectives. While ethical concerns and technical challenges remain, the potential for generative AI to revolutionize workflows and create new possibilities is undeniable. As this technology matures, its role in shaping the future of creativity, problem-solving, and collaboration will continue to grow.

Aims & Scope:

This special session invites submissions that explore the transformative potential of Generative AI, delving into cutting-edge techniques, ground breaking applications, and the societal implications of AI-driven creativity. Topics to be covered include but are not limited to:

  1. Innovative Models and Techniques:
    • Advances in foundation models (e.g., GPT, Stable Diffusion, and DALL-E).
    • Multi-modal generative AI: Bridging text, image, audio, and video.
    • Generative AI combined with reinforcement learning and control.
  2. Applications Across Domains:
    • AI in art, music, and literature: Redefining creative processes.
    • Real-world use cases in gaming, virtual reality, and film production.
    • Synthetic data generation for machine learning and privacy.
  3. Generative AI in Scientific Discovery:
    • AI-aided drug design, material synthesis, and protein folding.
    • Generative models in climate modeling and engineering simulations.
  4. Ethics, Trust, and Challenges:
    • Addressing biases in generative models.
    • Tackling misinformation and misuse (e.g., deepfakes).
    • Building trust and explainability in generative outputs.
  5. Future Directions in Generative AI:
